The finish line! Although the most important thing we have learned about the data action plan process is that it should be more circular in nature. After one plan is complete, more data will be reviewed to begin the process again, always working towards every student accomplishing every instructional objective. That being said, I do have a nice sense of accomplishment having made it through the entire process with a fabulous group. Although we did not actually put our instructional plan into place in a classroom, I have every confidence that our varied and differentiated tactics would have helped almost every student increase their rhyming skills.
This last data meeting did not have a table or organizer to type into, so we were really required to reflect and think back on all of our previous data meetings and come to conclusions about our decisions. Reflection is a tough skill for teachers, who always need to be moving on to the next day's lessons. I really found that completing reflection within a group helped to see the semesters work clearly. I have enjoyed working as a group and hope to return to my school and share this process with my team!
