Happy End of Week 3 Everyone!
I learned a lot from this first Data Meeting. I really saw the reason for this first notice and wondering step to be on it's own. My first instinct when looking at the data was to focus in on one piece of stand out data and start thinking of "why's and solutions." To combat this instinct, I looked at each piece of data several times before writing notice statements. I also found these notice statements difficult because I wanted to start hypothesizing instead of just writing the fact of what I noticed!
I really enjoyed exploring a new collaborative software this week. Basecamp offers options similar to Google Apps (which is my usual platform). It is so good for you learning to try new things, even if you feel you have found "the perfect" thing for you. Basecamp will actually email you when you receive a message or a chat, which is VERY helpful for busy teachers :)
I hope everyone's weeks have gone well! I encourage you to try and keep your mind open to this process, and not allow what has worked for you in the past to keep you from learning something new!
